Reviews often mention how good the staff are. This is absolutely the case here at Villa Samalama. I had minor medical emergency while on the island and the staff were super attentive and helpful, escorting me to a nearby medical clinic. It is such a lovey place, beautiful garden and pool. Loved it!!!

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Samalama. The location was perfect, with a beautiful and private setting that made it easy to relax and enjoy Gili Air. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. They even gave us an overseas power adaptor to keep when we realised we had nothing to charge our computers with — such a thoughtful gesture. Highly recommend Samalama to anyone visiting Gili Air. Thank you again for the wonderful hospitality!

For those who want to explore beyond the villa, hiring a bike is highly recommended from the Villa. It’s a fun and easy way to discover the island at your own pace. Overall, Villas Samalama combines tranquility, great service, and a sense of adventure that makes it a memorable getaway. Highly Recommend!

If I could give 6 stars I would. The customer service is so good I actually thought I was being scammed when the manager was replying to me so quickly and eagerly to assist me with booking ferries, bikes and horse and carts. The villa… one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed in my life. 5 minutes after we arrived we were already conspiring to come back again in the future. The location is close to the beach and the villas are quiet and comfortable. You feel like you have everything you could need. The pool was the perfect height and temperature. The water in the fridge was crisp. It was such a pleasant stay. Thank you to all the staff for making our trip to Gili Air so magical ✨

A great place to relax! The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The villas are large, clean, and well-equipped. The grounds are lush with greenery, surrounded by beautiful nature and a peaceful atmosphere – perfect for getting away from it all.

The best place to stay on gili air for a romantic gateway, the room is spacious and beautifull, very clean the staff and Mike are awesome! It's the place to stay!
