The villa is located on the first line, right across the road from the beach and the ocean, which is where turtles come to swim. You can rent masks, fins, etc. inexpensively at the hotel. The villa is very basic, without any special amenities or a TV. There was a kettle, soap, and shampoo. The bed linen was good. There was hot water, and the air conditioning worked well. The main advantage is the location - a coral garden and many cafes are just steps away. Cons: there is no real service - there was no cleaning service for 3 days, and no staff came by at all. Water is only available for a fee at a nearby restaurant; there was no free option. Breakfast is à la carte (a choice of 5 set items). It was a little noisy at times, as boats are parked nearby and sometimes something is unloaded, and since the villa is right next to the road, you can hear people passing by and horses. But all this was compensated by the stunning view and coral gardens right from the porch 👍🏻

Loved our stay here! Pool was lovely and we highly recommend their restaurant next door! The food was better than most places we’d been too! It was also great to walk out onto the beach and the coral reefs were there. It’s a turtles point was well! Highly recommend!

Get a horse to the villa (IDR 150k), it's a short walk but mostly sandy. Great rooms, with good AC.Very friendly service - they're willing to help out with anything. Awesome location for snorkelling to see turtles, fish and stunning corals. Had a couple minor issues that were quickly fixed but they could do with a bell at the desk, I would recommend getting a WhatsApp number for contact.

A lovely stay. The rooms have been recently renovated. The a/c was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. Opposite the ocean and you can walk straight out to a great snorkel spot. Would definitely recommend booking here.

They made special vegan breakfast on our request. It’s right on the beach where you can snorkel and see turtles. The room had good AC, and a water boiler so that we could make our own coffee which we always like to do. The employees are in such a good mood and really brings up the entire atmosphere, especially Lucas. We come back to Gili Air now and then, and next time, we shall come here again

We were upgraded to the private pool villa because they were renovating the hut next to the one we would have had. Spacious bungalow with AC and a nice small pool. Super friendly staff, and we rented two sets of fins for snorkelling in at the beach in front of the accommodation. Amazing to just walk onto the beach and spot turtles, beautiful coral and fish!

Our stay at Villa Coco Republic was an absolute delight from the moment we arrived. The location couldn't have been better, as the beach stretched right in front of the hotel, offering an incredible view of the sunrise. It was truly a mesmerizing sight to wake up to each day. One of the highlights of this hotel was the stunning view from the pool, which overlooked the sparkling sea. The hotel managed to strike the perfect balance between providing a serene and calm environment while still offering plenty of eating options in the surrounding neighborhood. Although the hotel was a 15-minute walk from the harbor, making it a bit of a journey with big baggage, the effort was entirely worth it. However, it is because we preferred walking over horse taxis. The service at the hotel was exceptional. The staff consistently ensured that we had a comfortable stay, going above and beyond to meet our needs. They also provided us with valuable recommendations for snorkeling tours, which added to our overall experience. The only minor suggestion we have is to perhaps provide more water bottles or glasses in the rooms. Currently, there is one central water bottle at the reception, and you need to ask for a glass. Having a few extra bottles or glasses readily available in the rooms would be a convenient addition. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily return for another wonderful experience.
