hands down the best sushi i had in bali so far. service ambiance and presentation were great, and the fresh wasabi was a bonus. the steaks were cooked to perfection and loved the flavor options. one downside was the music…. the cover songs were a bit distracting … otherwise was a 5-star experience and i will definitely return.
Absolutely loved our lunch at Takumi. The place feels very comfortable and the atmosphere really gives an authentic Japanese vibe. The food was excellent, everything we ordered tasted great and nothing disappointed. What made the experience even more special was their thoughtful gesture of giving us a cake for our anniversary. It was such a warm and memorable touch. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Japanese food and a lovely dining experience.

We had an amazing dining experience at Takumi truly one of the best Japanese restaurants we’ve had in Bali!
We started with oysters, and honestly, they were the best oysters I’ve ever had in Bali. Super fresh and perfectly prepared. Then we continued with sashimi and king prawn sushi rolls, both were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We also tried the king prawn tempura as another starter, and it was crispy, light, and full of flavor.
For the main course, we had the pan-seared duck… OMG. So tender, juicy, and incredibly flavorful, definitely a highlight of the night.
And of course, we couldn’t skip dessert the cheesecake and triple chocolate cake were both amazing and the perfect ending to our meal.
A special thank you to Ketut Feri Tristianti who served us. She was truly exceptional, very professional, explained every menu in detail, super friendly, and you can really feel that she works with heart. Service like this makes the whole experience even more special.
10/10 for this restaurant! we absolutely loved everything and will definitely come back!

So good we returned the following night!
We stumbled upon Takumi by chance, initially thinking we were not suitably dressed to enter, having spent the day walking along the beach…we were instead greeted by the warmest service and swiftly taken upstairs for a welcome drink, then promptly seated to enjoy our dining experience.
The food was just divine. Fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The servers have extensive knowledge of the menu, where ingredients are sourced and are eager to assist you in selecting your meal. Many items on the menu are prepared table-side and the process is explained in detail.. was a wonderful element to our evening.
Having enjoyed the food and the service so much, we returned the following evening. Greeted by some familiar faces, including our exceptional server Nanda. We were made to feel immediately welcome, the staff remembering our names from the previous evening and the chef coming to personally thank us for returning. Our second dining experience was elevated even further, sampling more fresh and perfectly executed dishes…
After learning it was one of our groups last night in Bali, we were treated to a sake tasting (major highlight) and a thoughtful gift of a Polaroid was taken and beautifully packaged for us to remember the evening.
I have already begun recommending friends and family to visit when they are able and will certainly return.
An exceptional fine dining experience and absolutely worth the price. The restaurant delivers truly authentic Japanese cuisine with outstanding attention to detail. Every dish we had throughout the evening was beautifully presented and full of flavor.
The wagyu tartare was delicate and perfectly balanced, the steak was cooked flawlessly, and the wagyu baby potatoes were simply exceptional. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients.
The service was warm, attentive, and professional from the moment we arrived. Valet parking was conveniently available, which added to the seamless experience. The ambiance is elegant and unique compared to other restaurants I’ve visited in Bali — refined yet comfortable.
Overall, it was a memorable evening with my friends. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be returning.

Dining alone while traveling can sometimes feel awkward, but at Takumi, it felt like a privilege. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel completely at home—attentive, warm, and genuinely interested in making my night special.
And then there was the sake. Wow. As a solo traveler who loves Japanese culture, I've sampled sake in a few different countries, but this was hands down the best I've ever tasted outside of Japan. I let the staff guide me through their selection, I tried four different brands and I felt contentment after all.
The team checked on me regularly, offered fantastic recommendations, and even shared stories about the sake breweries. For half an hour I didn't feel like a solo diner—I felt like a welcomed guest at a friend's table. If you're traveling alone and want a night of exceptional food, world-class sake, and genuine hospitality, do not miss this place.
At last, sending my blessings to beautiful Astii for her excellent service and gift, I’ll cherish our photo and VIP card.
Had an amazing lunch at Takumi in Seminyak. The food was really good and beautifully made, and you can tell the quality is very high. Service was friendly and made us feel comfortable the whole time. The place has a nice, relaxed atmosphere and felt perfect for a special night out. Definitely one of the best Japanese meals we had in Bali.
I had the pleasure of visiting Takumi, and the experience started with a lovely surprise .i was invited upstairs to their bar for a welcome drink, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
The moment you step inside, the beautiful design transports you straight to Japan ,the atmosphere is warm, elegant, and truly immersive.
As for the food… absolutely lovely! I tried the sushi, salmon tartare, and steak, and I enjoyed every single dish. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
I’ll definitely be coming back, highly recommended!
