I loved my stay here. I stayed a week, and stayed in a bungalow. I loved that there is a dorm as well as bungalows, because it allowed me to have my own room whilst still meeting lots of lovely people. The vibes at this place are really lovely. It's sociable but in a very relaxed way, and for all ages. The staff is super amazing (shout out to Eddy) and organize afternoon tea etc, which felt so special. The bungalow was very cute, the bed comfy, with a mosquito net that looked great and was efficient. Everything was comfortable and cute. Just note that it is a rustic bungalow, so it's very comfortable and adorable, but it does have a few little gaps in the walls, so you might occasionally have little insects. However, I always left my windows open to air, and only had a few ants one day but nothing else in a whole week. You can hear the mosquee early mornings. Bring earplugs if you are a sensitiv sleeper. I recommend this place if you are looking for a slightly sociable place with great vibes.

Our time at captain coconuts was great!! 🌞🥰 The people there are so lovely, kind and accommodating. We loved it there. My friend had birthday and they sang for her and made her a very nice plate for her birthday, it was so special. The coffee and the breakfast is great! Definitely recommend!:)

I travelled solo around Bali and the Gili Islands for a total of 7 weeks, and out of everywhere I stayed, Captain Coconuts in Gili Air was by far my favourite. From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed. The place was beautifully clean, calm, and full of warmth. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, and the service truly went above and beyond in every way – nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and everything was done with genuine care. The food was absolutely exceptional. Honestly, some of the best meals I had during my entire trip. So much so that now I’m back home in the UK, I’ve started cooking some of their recipes myself just to relive it. The floating beds were an experience I will never forget – waking up there, surrounded by nature, felt so special and peaceful. It’s one of those places that makes you slow down and really be present. Captain Coconuts will always have a place close to my heart, and I already can't wait to return in the near future. A truly unforgettable stay. Thank you ❤️

I loved this place and will definitely be back. |I was travelling solo but wanted a room to myself where I could wind down, recover from a cough and have a bit of personal space, so I invested in one of the villas. I'm so pleased I did. In fact I liked it so much that I extended for an extra night. Captain Coconuts is a very beautiful little set up, just off the beach track, slightly away from the noise of the bars and restaurants, some of which party into the early hours on certain nights. The only sound that did wake me up from time to time was a resident gecko, but I chose to stay on a tropical island and everything that comes with that. The villas, dorm and restaurant all look out onto a beautiful garden with a lovely little pool, great for hanging out by, or snoozing. The people working there are extremely friendly, kind and accommodating and Dee, the manager, is full of interesting stories and facts. I enjoyed our chats and learnt a lot about the region. The island is easy to get around but I chose to rent a bike which was done for me through the guesthouse, so I cycled everywhere. They can also book trips for you. The breakfast is lovely, a selection of healthy options (everything is vegetarian) and local dishes and a great way to wake up. There is also an all day menu with some yummy options.|If you are looking for an easy going, unpretentious, well located and very friendly place to stay then Captain Coconuts is your place.

Captain coconuts is a beautiful hostel was an amazing pool. The swinging beds are an experience but nice and well kept. The private rooms are also lovely, but the aircon was weak. My sister got extremely unwell (not the hostels fault) and they immediately moved us to a private room without a fuss at 9am. Location was a bit difficult to find but that’s being extremely picky

Favourite hostel in Indonesia, I was so obsessed I ended up extending 3 more nights. The staff were lovely, shoutout to friendly and smiley Eddie! The pool area is gorgeous. Free Afternoon tea was a highlight as a solo traveller.

loved staying here so much that I ended up extending my stay twice! Every single staff member was incredibly kind and welcoming, and I met so many nice people during my stay here. I loved the swinging beds and the fact that you sleep outside, while still being perfectly protected from rain and mosquitoes. The common areas were beautiful and the pool was lovely. The location was perfect too, just a short walk from the beach, which I really enjoyed. Every meal I tried here was amazing, so was their cappuccino and cookie I had everyday. I truly hope I’ll have the chance to come back one day! :)
