I took two diving certifications here with Katon as my instructor. I had a really good time diving with him. He always made sure I understood everything and was very attentive to what worked for me, which made the process much easier and more fun! My experience with this place could not have been better. The staff and divers were so friendly and helpful, and the dive sites with its diverse marine life and environment are so cool and beautiful! I highly recommend this place if you are interested in diving.

Very long overdue review of this wonderful dive shop! Instantly welcoming team with fantastic guides (too many to mention!) and great atmosphere. Despite ticking everything off my list I'll still be coming back for more brilliant dives in the near distant future and hunting for amazing macro critters like the one below, one of many! :)

We stayed at Blue Marlin Dive Gili Air last November because we found it the perfect combination of hotel + diving club. We certified as Open Water and enjoyed it so much that we’re already planning our next vacations all around diving! Fraser was super patient and helpful, we loved having him as our instructor. You can tell everyone at Blue Marlin cares and loves the ocean and diving. Rooms were great, the restaurant right at the beach had great food and drinks, the training pool was perfect as it’s separated from the main hotel pool by a different level so you can either be relaxing as a hotel guest or training and not disturb each other. The overall vibe was calm and friendly, ideal for an island like Gili Air and being so close to the boat made the whole experience smooth and easy. At day we were diving, at night studying the theory at the bar. It was so cool to always see people talking about diving around the hotel so I highly recommend it if you’re planning to get a certificate or simply do some fun dives. We saw lots of marine life and learned a lot, and we’ve done other fun dives after there but nothing compares to Fraser and Blue Marlin. They were TOP level 🙌 thank youuuuu

Great location on the beach which is great for swimming and sunbathing. Breakfast on the beach every morning was idyllic. Not massive breakfast but perfectly suitable and very well presented every time. Drinking water hot/cold available at drink station, very handy as tap water is a bit salty. WiFi was a bit slow at times, not too important for us. Everything was spotlessly clean and had some great nights sleep. Rooms are not the quietest so plugs recommended if your a light sleeper. We had 5 nights here and wish we booked 7. We had a relaxing chilled island vibe experience and loved it. Definitely would stay here again.

I just did my open water PADI here and loved it. Fraser is an awesome teacher, he's very patient, calm and knowledgable. I was quite nervous about diving, but he quickly helped me feel calm and collected. He taught me a few things some of my friends visiting other schools on the island missed out on. The dive sites we visited were awesome; I got to see reef sharks, cuttlefish, octopus, clown fish, green turtles and many others. I highly recommend this diving school!

I did my Advanced Open Water course with the most amazing instructor Izzy and Divemaster Louise who are also incredible. I was a bit agitating because I have a long gaps in between my dive and my last dive wasn't great in Spain. However both of them are really patient, super helpful, super nice and accommodating to develop my skill and build my confidence to water. The visibility wasn't great because of monsoon season but they did their best to ensure I still have the best diving experience. Really grateful I came here to do my AOW and met amazing human here!

I spent 6 weeks at Blue Marlin Gili Air: first fun diving then doing my Instructor Development Course with Shruti and absolutely loved it. The whole team (Dive, Equipment, Conservation Team & Boat Crew) is exceptional: friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely safety-conscious. They're also very involved in marine conservation: during the dives (buoyancy, no-touch rule) and in general (conservation courses, beach clean-ups). The facilities are top-notch: well organized, clean, and equipped with well-maintained gear and a huge pool for training. Everything runs smoothly, from briefings to boat operations, which really adds to the overall comfort and confidence of the experience. As for the diving, it is fantastic. Beautiful dive sites and great marine life (lots of turtles and nice macro). Overall, this dive center sets a very high standard in terms of service, safety, and environmental responsibility. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced diver, you’ll be in excellent hands. I would absolutely dive with them again and highly recommend them to anyone who values quality diving and ocean conservation.

What a great stay we had here. The staff were amazing. Some of the very best i have ever come across. They went above and beyond to do anything we needed. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the pool was lovely. Fantastic location on the beach and some great sunsets. The food and staff at the restaurant at the front was amazing. We had most of our meals here and there were definitely no complaints. We had the best time here. Thankyou to staff and management for making our time here just the best.
