Aquarium Gili Air is one of the best places to stay on Gili Air. It offers spacious rooms, a clean swimming pool, comfortable beds, and access to a private beach. The affordable prices make it an excellent choice for a pleasant stay, and the friendly, attentive staff add to the experience. Highly recommended!

Old rooms with a few broken bits and pieces here and there, which don't look like the online pictures on booking sites. The place looks half abandoned and poorly maintained, the pool is nice, the breakfast was ok. We had a crab and a giant cockroach in our bathroom which looked like they've been there for some time...

Whilst arriving at to Aquarium by horse and cart you’d literally think ‘where the hell am I going?!’|The tracks are very bumpy and it felt like cart would tip at one point. |The bungalows were ‘at first site’ very disappointing, bathroom was in dire need of a complete renovation but at least a good clean!|We had a terrible bathroom with webs/spiders, flooding around the sink and around toilet. Toilet seat was not attached and came off every time you sat on it. Apparently there are several owners of a few bungalows each so it’s really up to them how they keep them. The owner of ours was a very nice guy and the team did their best to fix the flooded bathroom but it took a cpl attempts to get it right. |Overall it’s extremely basic and overlooking the problem within, the outside is rather cute. |Location was great as right by the beach with bars etc. |breakfast is basic off of eggs or pancakes, that’s it! |Bikes can be rented on the property. Overall the guys that work there are friendly & helpful. |You do get what you pay for, just don’t expect it to look like the pictures.,

The place has a good potential because it’s beautiful. The problem here is the service. When we arrived, we waited at the reception for 20 min under the sun, nobody was there. The swimming pool is not maintained, mattresses were dirty and water also. I had the sensation that nobody is really taking care about the apartments, just about the bar. We had breakfast included and that was good.

Been in Indonesia for 1 month and this is by far the worst place I stayed in. The bungalow was full of holes, the beds only come with one super thin sheet, the bathroom is super old and full of rust. They only give you one towel, no towel for the hands, the shampo and shower gel where empty, there’s little to no water coming out of the shower head. The pool is disgusting and seems like it hasn’t been cleaned for ages. The breakfast that’s included has only 2 food options, pancake or egg and 2 drinks options pineapple juice and coffe with milk and it will take them 1h to make a pancake and a pineapple fuice.

GOOD VIBES ONLY !! Best location in the north!! Nice swimming pool, super garden to do yoga and thousands of flowers. It’s quiet and peaceful. You can go SCUBA DIVING with Joan, he is the best instructor I met in my life! New dive center with one to one course, that was amazing 🙏🏻 Perfect for sunrise (200m) AND sunset, right in front. The wooden villa are have a lot of space with a nice terrasse to chill. A new restaurant is opening there also. The perfect place to stay in Gili Air, thank you 🙏🏻 you made my holidays the best I could dream of..

Superb location in front of the sea. You can’t miss the sunsets there! Cozy bungalows, with all commodities around, including a pool and a huge garden to practice sport. The owners are very kind, helpful and they are passionate about the sea, so I highly recommend to ask them about water activities/therapies.

Hate to write a bad review but this needs to be shared. This venue has great potential but unfortunately missed the mark and was different to advertised. We were really excited to stay here after reading everyone’s reviews, but unfortunately our expectations weren’t met. The bungalow was extremely dark and had dimmed lighting, the AC was leaking constantly and bathroom was aged. There is no cafe onsite in the garden (as advertised in images)- this is now outsourced to venues on the beach. The pool has not been maintained properly and a section was not in operation. The pool furniture was missing cushions and had limited seating. To top it off, the owners had an extremely loud party onsite until around 5am. After little to no sleep on our rock hard bed with our thin sheet, we had to change venues with no renumeration or apology. Highly disappointing. 😓 However Zulu and the local staff were lovely and helpful during our stay and cared about our well-being. 👌🏽
