TELU Bar at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay celebrates third anniversary with zero-waste design and cultural storytelling

TELU Bar at the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay is celebrating its third anniversary, marking a significant milestone in Indonesia's hospitality sector. The bar has transformed an unused area of the resort into a distinctive cocktail destination, focusing on sustainability, cultural storytelling, and design innovation. Over the past three years, TELU Bar has operated as a zero-waste concept, repurposing existing materials from previous renovations, such as timber, stone, metalwork, and decorative elements, into a contemporary design while retaining their original character. This approach highlights adaptive reuse and conscious design in luxury experiences in Bali. The bar also serves as a cultural platform, reflecting Bali’s artisanal heritage, storytelling traditions, and community values, aligning with the Balinese philosophy of harmony. To commemorate its anniversary, TELU Bar has commissioned an artwork by Michael Hockey of Nyaman Gallery, who transforms discarded plastic materials into mixed-media works, further extending the bar's sustainability ethos. The venue is seen as a case study in sustainable luxury development, showcasing the potential of adaptive design within the Four Seasons Resort Bali, and symbolizing innovation in hospitality expectations across Bali and Indonesia.
